This was my third time working with the Chalas family, and every time I’m so grateful. It’s a delight to serve their sweet family and preserve these moments for them! As a Carmel, Indiana family photographer, The Village of West Clay is quickly becoming one of my favorite locations. I love the meandering sidewalks, the feathery locust trees, and the convenient parking. All together it creates a Central Park-like vibe. Families can also head over the playground area during or after their session to get the wiggles out and enjoy time together! All of these features make this spot a win in my book!
Classic style that stands the test of time
Amanda always styles their family in such a classic, timeless way! I love the blues, whites, and creams she chose. Their wardrobe had the perfect combination of clothing textures and details. This adds interest but also keeps the focus on their children’s sweet expressions, and their family relationships. We had a touch of fall color in the leaves in early October. It added a little touch that signaled “fall” without overwhelming their photos.
Baby George has grown so much since his newborn session (you can see more of that session here). One of the best parts of my job is walking with clients as we document their family as their children grow. From tiny baby to one year old, it really goes by so fast!
