There is a host of information when it comes to the best stroller to buy, the safest car seat to install in your vehicle, and a host of ideas for what to pack in your hospital bag.

But what happens after baby is HERE? Don’t these tiny newborn details deserve to be documented? I mean, you can’t really get that precious season back. Amid sleepless nights and spit up, it really is the best time to photograph your newborn baby and their sleepy, cozy self.

Several years ago an email landed in my inbox from Rachael. She and Jay were inquiring about a couples session and had recently purchased a home. Photographing this couple was a delight from the get-go! Jay and Rachael’s first photography session with me was at Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis (special to them because of Jay’s family’s connection there).

This was my second time photographing the Rincker family and their boys have grown so much! It’s such an honor when families return for updated family photos year after year. These three boys are so obviously loved by their mama and daddy. One of my favorite parts of the session was how relaxed mom and dad were. They took all of the silly boy giggles and energy in stride (obviously they are pros!). These little guys had space and time to have their portraits taken, but also have a lot of fun in the process.
